District Notepad Review

I have been following Appointed since they started with their successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2015 and love the tools they make. Elegant is the best word I can think of when I see their notebooks, pencils and other desk items.

They embrace their local community and have a great new notebook that is perfect for the times we are in. As they are based in Washington DC, the District Notebook comes with the promise of helping those in need.

The owner Suann Song, has designed some beautiful products and she are constantly raising the bar on the quality of their work.

Today, Saturday April 25th they are hosting a small business sale by offering free shipping and a small gift with each purchase. Edit: They just announced they are giving away free custom art prints today as the gift!

DESIGN ELEMENTS

After testing out the notebook it is a great addition to my desk. The cover is a cobalt blue book-cloth and has a great texture and feel to it. The paper is a shade under bright white which I would say is like pure white and has a medium weight to it. The paper is lined with light lines and as with all their products, the paper is only printed on one side leaving the back blank.

I found the paper to have a slight tooth to the paper making it excellent for pencils and caused a slight feathering with I used a fountain pen.
